Anti-KDM7A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lysine demethylase 7A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 941 amino acid residues and a mass of 106.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the JHDM1 histone demethylase protein family, KDM7A is known to be a histone demethylase required for brain development. Synonyms for this target antigen include [histone H3]-dimethyl-L-lysine9 demethylase 7A, histone lysine demethylase JHDM1D, jmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 1D, and lysine-specific demethylase 7A. KDM7A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of KDM7A antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
