Anti-IGSF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein immunoglobulin superfamily member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1194 amino acid residues and a mass of 135.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in a wide range of tissues with High expression in the placenta, kidney and lung. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The IGSF3 gene has been associated with the disease, Lacrimal duct defect. Synonyms for this target antigen include LCDD, V8, glu-Trp-Ile EWI motif-containing protein 3, immunoglobin superfamily, member 3, and EWI-3. IGSF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some IGSF3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
