Anti-ABITRAM antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein actin binding transcription modulator. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 181 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the ABITRAM protein family, ABITRAM is reported to be an actin-binding protein that regulates actin polymerization, filopodia dynamics and increases the branching of proximal dendrites of developing neurons. Synonyms for this target antigen include CG-8, FAM206A, Simiate, protein Abitram, family with sequence similarity 206 member A, and C9orf6. ABITRAM gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
