Anti-SEC14L1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SEC14 like lipid binding 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 715 amino acid residues and a mass of 81.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. SEC14L1 is believed to play a role in innate immunity by inhibiting the antiviral RIG-I signaling pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include SEC14L, SEC14-like protein 1, and PRELID4A. SEC14L1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SEC14L1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
