Anti-PHLDA2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pleckstrin homology like domain family A member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 152 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in the placenta and adult prostate gland. A member of the PHLDA2 protein family, PHLDA2 is reported to play a role in regulating placenta growth. Synonyms for this target antigen include BWR1C, HLDA2, IPL, TSSC3, beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome chromosomal region 1 candidate gene C protein, and BRW1C. PHLDA2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PHLDA2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
