Anti-Fc receptor like 6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FCRL6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 434 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is noted to be expressed by cytolytic cells including NK cells, effector and effector-memory CD8(+) T-cells, and a subset of NKT cells. It is known to act as a MHC class II receptor. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation and glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include Fc receptor-like protein 7, IFGP6, IgSF type I transmembrane receptor, fc receptor homolog 6, fcR-like protein 6, and Fc receptor-like protein 6.
