Anti-CALHM5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calcium homeostasis modulator family member 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 309 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. A member of the CALHM protein family, CALHM5 is reported to be a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated ion channel. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 26 member E, protein FAM26E, and calcium homeostasis modulator protein 5. CALHM5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CALHM5 antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
