Anti-FHIP2A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FHF complex subunit HOOK interacting protein 2A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 765 amino acid residues and a mass of 86.6 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the FHIP protein family, FHIP2A is known to be required for proper functioning of the nervous system. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 160 member B1 and protein FAM160B1. FHIP2A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
