Anti-OR8G1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily G member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 311 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8G1 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include OR8G1P, TPCR25, olfactory receptor 8G1, olfactory receptor OR11-281, olfactory receptor TPCR25, and HSTPCR25. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR8G1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
