Anti-FABP9 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein fatty acid binding protein 9. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 132 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the hair. It is a member of the Fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include testis lipid binding protein, testis-type fatty acid-binding protein, and fatty acid binding protein 9, testis. FABP9 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some FABP9 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
