Anti-Wnt family member 5B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the WNT5B gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 359 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is also secreted. A member of the Wnt protein family, it is known to be involved with the Wnt signaling pathway and chondrocyte differentiation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include WNT-5B protein, wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 5B, and protein Wnt-5b.
