Anti-SERPINB3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein serpin family B member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 390 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the urinary bladder, skin, nasopharynx, esophagus, and bronchus. A member of the Serpin protein family, SERPINB3 is believed to act as a papain-like cysteine protease inhibitor to modulate the host immune response against tumor cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include SCC, SCCA-1, SCCA-PD, SCCA1, SSCA1, T4-A, protein T4-A, and HsT1196. A number of SERPINB3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
