Anti-phosphodiesterase 1A antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PDE1A gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 535 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.3 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 9 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase protein family, it is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways. Other names for this target antigen include CAM-PDE-1A, HCAM-1, HCAM1, HSPDE1A, and CAM-PDE 1A. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of phosphodiesterase 1A antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
