Anti-SLC24A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 24 member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 661 amino acid residues and a mass of 73.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Ca(2+):cation antiporter (CaCA) (TC 2.A.19) protein family, SLC24A2 is known to be involved with cellular localization and the regulation of intracellular calcium. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include sodium/potassium/calcium exchanger 2, Na(+)/K(+)/Ca(2+)-exchange protein 2, Na/Ca-K exchanger 2, retinal cone Na-Ca+K exchanger, and NCKX2. SLC24A2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC24A2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
