Anti-MARCHF8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein membrane associated ring-CH-type finger 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 291 amino acid residues and a mass of 33 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and cytoplasmic vesicles. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. MARCHF8 is known to be involved with adaptive immune responses. Synonyms for this target antigen include E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MARCH8, RING finger protein 178, RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase MARCH8, RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase MARCHF8, and E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MARCHF8. MARCHF8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
