Anti-SLC44A3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 44 member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 653 amino acid residues and a mass of 73.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland. A member of the CTL (choline transporter-like) protein family, SLC44A3 is known to be involved with transmembrane transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include choline transporter-like protein 3. SLC44A3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
