Anti-NUAK family kinase 2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the NUAK2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 628 amino acid residues and a mass of 69.6 kDa. A member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, it is known to be a stress-activated kinase involved in tolerance to glucose starvation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Other names for this target antigen include NUAK family, SNF1-like kinase, 2, SNF1/AMP activated protein kinase, SNF1/AMP kinase-related kinase, omphalocele kinase 2, and NUAK family SNF1-like kinase 2.
