Anti-GAS2L2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein growth arrest specific 2 like 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 880 amino acid residues and a mass of 96.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in bronchial and nasal epithelial cells. A member of the GAS2 protein family, GAS2L2 is reported to be involved in cross-linking of microtubules and microfilaments. The GAS2L2 gene has been associated with the disease, Ciliary dyskinesia. Synonyms for this target antigen include GAS2-like protein 2 and GAS2-related protein on chromosome 17. GAS2L2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for GAS2L2 antibodies.
