Anti-GEMIN6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein gem nuclear organelle associated protein 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 167 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. GEMIN6 is known to be involved with RNA splicing. Synonyms for this target antigen include gem-associated protein 6 and SIP2. GEMIN6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GEMIN6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
