Anti-GIPC2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GIPC PDZ domain containing family member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 315 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed at highest levels in ascending colon and at moderate levels in adult kidney. It is a member of the GIPC protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include SEMCAP2, PDZ domain-containing protein GIPC2, PDZ domain protein GIPC2, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and SEMCAP-2. GIPC2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GIPC2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
