Anti-CLEC18A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C-type lectin domain family 18 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 446 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. CLEC18A is known to bind polysaccharides in a Ca(2+)-independent manner with a preferentially binding to fucoidan, beta-glucans and galactans. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include mannose receptor-like protein 2, mannose receptor-like protein 3, and mannose receptor-like 1. Western Blot is the most common application for the CLEC18A antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
