Anti-SLC12A7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 12 member 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1083 amino acid residues and a mass of 119.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in muscle, brain, lung, heart and kidney. A member of the SLC12A transporter protein family, SLC12A7 is known to mediate electroneutral potassium-chloride cotransport when activated by cell swelling. Synonyms for this target antigen include K-Cl cotransporter 4, SUCO/SLC12A7 fusion, electroneutral potassium-chloride cotransporter 4, potassium/chloride transporter KCC4, and KCC4. SLC12A7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC12A7 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
