Anti-PAICS antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phosphoribosylaminoimidazole carboxylase and phosphoribosylaminoimidazolesuccinocarboxamide synthase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 425 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.1 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the SAICAR synthetase protein family; AIR carboxylase protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include ADE2H1, AIRC, PAICSD, PAIS, bifunctional phosphoribosylaminoimidazole carboxylase/phosphoribosylaminoimidazole succinocarboxamide synthetase, and ADE2. PAICS gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PAICS antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
