Anti-SUGP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SURP and G-patch domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 645 amino acid residues and a mass of 72.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in adult testis and heart, and in adult and fetal brain, kidney and skeletal muscle. SUGP1 is reported to play a role in pre-mRNA splicing. Synonyms for this target antigen include RNA-binding protein RBP, splicing factor 4, and SURP and G-patch domain-containing protein 1. SUGP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SUGP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
