Anti-Ataxin 2 like antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ATXN2L in humans. The ataxin 2 like protein has an expected mass of 113.4 kDa, but there are 9 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as A2D, A2LG, A2LP, A2RP, ataxin-2-like protein, and ataxin 2 related protein. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
