Anti-H2.0 like homeobox antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the HLX gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 488 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the H2.0 homeobox protein family, it is known to be a transcription factor required for TBX21/T-bet-dependent maturation of Th1 cells as well as maintenance of Th1-specific gene expression. Other names for this target antigen include HLX1, H2.0-like homeobox protein, H2.0-like homeo box-1, H2.0-like homeobox 1, homeobox protein HB24, and HB24.
