Anti-MARCHF6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein membrane associated ring-CH-type finger 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 910 amino acid residues and a mass of 102.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex, stomach, and breast. MARCHF6 is known to be involved with protein ubiquitination. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. The MARCHF6 gene has been associated with the disease, Epilepsy. Synonyms for this target antigen include FAME3, FCMTE3, MARCH-VI, RNF176, TEB4, and DOA10. MARCHF6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
