Anti-Torsin 1A interacting protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TOR1AIP1 in humans. The gene may also be known as LAP1, LAP1B, LGMD2Y, lamin-associated protein 1B, and lamina-associated polypeptide 1B. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 66.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
