Anti-Nuclear factor of activated T cells 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene NFATC1 in humans. The gene may also be known as NFAT2, NFATC, nuclear factor of activated T-cells 1, NF-ATC, NF-ATc1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 101.2 kilodaltons in mass. The NFATC1 marker can be used to identify Dorsal Excitatory Neurons.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
