Anti-DNAJA1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member A1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 397 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. DNAJA1 is known to be involved with the regulation of apoptosis and protein folding. Synonyms for this target antigen include DjA1, HDJ2, HSDJ, HSJ-2, HSJ2, HSPF4, NEDD7, and DJ-2. DNAJA1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of DNAJA1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
