Anti-MIDEAS antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitotic deacetylase associated SANT domain protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1045 amino acid residues and a mass of 115 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. MIDEAS is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include ELM2 and Myb/SANT-like domain containing 1, ELM2 and SANT domain-containing protein 1, and ELM2 and Myb/SANT domain containing 1. MIDEAS gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
