Anti-CSNK1A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein casein kinase 1 alpha 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 337 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CK1 Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, CSNK1A1 is known to be involved with the cell cycle. Synonyms for this target antigen include CK1a, CKIa, HEL-S-77p, HLCDGP1, PRO2975, casein kinase I isoform alpha, CKI-alpha, and CK1. CSNK1A1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 60 citations in the literature describe the use of CSNK1A1 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
