Anti-discs large homolog 5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target discs large homolog 5 is a known alias name of the protein discs large MAGUK scaffold protein 5, encoded by the DLG5 gene in humans. This 1919-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a regulator of the Hippo signaling pathway. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in normal breast tissues and low-grade breast cancer tissues.
