Anti-ORP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ORP1 is a known alias name of the protein RP1 axonemal microtubule associated, encoded by the RP1 gene in humans. This 2156-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in intracellular signal transduction and eye development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in retina.
