Anti-Muscle associated receptor tyrosine kinase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MUSK in humans. The gene may also be known as Nsk2, CMS9, FADS, FADS1, muscle, skeletal receptor tyrosine-protein kinase, and muscle, skeletal, receptor tyrosine kinase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 97.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
