Anti-COQ3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coenzyme Q3, methyltransferase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 369 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the UbiG/COQ3 protein family, COQ3 is a reported O-methyltransferase that catalyzes the 2 O-methylation steps in the ubiquinone biosynthetic pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include DHHBMTASE, UG0215E05, bA9819.1, ubiquinone biosynthesis O-methyltransferase, mitochondrial, and DHHBMT. COQ3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some COQ3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
