Anti-SAXO1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein stabilizer of axonemal microtubules 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 474 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is found to be widely expressed, with highest levels in testis. A member of the FAM154 protein family, SAXO1 is believed to play a role in the regulation of cilium length. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 154, member A, protein FAM154A, and 4930500O09Rik. SAXO1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SAXO1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
