Anti-FGS2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FGS2 is a known alias name of the protein filamin A, encoded by the FLNA gene in humans. This 2647-amino acid residue protein is reported to promote orthogonal branching of actin filaments and links actin filaments to membrane glycoproteins. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
