Anti-HSN1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The HSN1 antigen is another term for the human protein serine palmitoyltransferase long chain base subunit 1, encoded by the SPTLC1 gene. The protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 473 residues and a mass of 52.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The HSN1 protein is a member of the Class-II pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase protein family. Other alias names for HSN1 include ALS27 and HSAN1.
