Anti-KLC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kinesin light chain 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 573 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Up to 1 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Kinesin light chain protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include KNS2, KNS2A, kinesin 2 60/70kDa, medulloblastoma antigen MU-MB-2.50, and KLC. KLC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of KLC1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
