Anti-c-erbB3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target c-erbB3 is a known alias name of the protein erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 3, encoded by the ERBB3 gene in humans. This 1342-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a tyrosine-protein kinase that plays an essential role as cell surface receptor for neuregulins. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for c-erbB3 include FERLK, HER3, and LCCS2. Western Blot is the most common application for the c-erbB3 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
