Anti-Myosin IH antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MYO1H gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1032 amino acid residues and a mass of 119 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the Myosin protein family. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Central hypoventilation syndrome, congenital, 2, and autonomic dysfunction. Other names for this target antigen include unconventional myosin-Ih and myosin-1H. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Myosin IH antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
