Anti-GGN antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein gametogenetin. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 652 amino acid residues and a mass of 66.7 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. GGN is suspected to be involved in spermatogenesis. The GGN gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. GGN gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some GGN antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
