Anti-Melatonin receptor 1B antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MTNR1B in humans. The gene may also be known as MEL-1B-R, MT2, FGQTL2, MEL-1B-R, melatonin receptor type 1B, and mel1b receptor. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 40.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
