Anti-RSK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RSK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RPS6KA2 gene, which encodes ribosomal protein S6 kinase A2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological roles. The human version of RSK has a canonical amino acid length of 733 residues and a protein mass of 83.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. RSK is a member of the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
