Anti-Aconitase 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACO1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 889 amino acid residues and a mass of 98.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Aconitase/IPM isomerase protein family, it is known to be involved with post-embryonic development. Other names for this target antigen include HEL60, IREB1, IREBP, IREBP1, IRP1, cytoplasmic aconitate hydratase, aconitase 1, soluble, and ACONS. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Aconitase 1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
