Anti-TMEM261 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TMEM261 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DMAC1 gene, which encodes distal membrane arm assembly component 1. This protein is known to be required for the assembly of the mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I). The human version of TMEM261 has a canonical amino acid length of 116 residues and a protein mass of 12.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
