Anti-Cadherin 7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CDH7 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 785 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. The cadherin 7 protein is involved with cell adhesion, among other functions. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include CDH7L1 and cadherin 7, type 2.
