Anti-PAI1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PAI1 antigen is another term for the human protein serpin family E member 1, encoded by the SERPINE1 gene. The protein is known to function in angiogenesis and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 402 residues and a mass of 45.1 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is reported to be expressed in endothelial cells. The PAI1 protein is a member of the Serpin protein family. Other alias names for PAI1 include PAI. Over 230 citations in the literature describe the use of PAI1 antibodies in research. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
