Anti-HACD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydratase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 288 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Very long-chain fatty acids dehydratase HACD protein family, HACD1 is known to catalyze the third of the four reactions of the long-chain fatty acids elongation cycle. The HACD1 gene has been associated with the disease, Myopathy. Synonyms for this target antigen include CMYP11, MYONP, PTPLA, very-long-chain (3R)-3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydratase 1, and CAP. HACD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of HACD1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
